OGSystems, a leader in technology innovation for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC), today announced the appointment of John Sanders, former Chief Technology Officer and Assistant Administrator for the Office of Security Capabilities of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. Sanders’ insight and extensive experience managing and scaling technology companies will be invaluable in accelerating OGSystems’ growth.

Mr. Sanders joined TSA in 2010 and served as the Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Office of Security Technologies, where he focused on day-to-day operations and assisted TSA senior leadership in the development and execution of risk-based security initiatives. Most recently, Mr. Sanders served as Assistant Administrator for the Office of Security Capabilities and Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he oversaw the implementation and development, test and evaluation, acquisition, deployment and maintenance of TSA security technologies and systems across multiple modes of transportation.
Prior to joining TSA, Sanders co-founded Reveal Imaging Technologies, Inc., and was the company's Executive Vice President. He is the former Vice President of Corporate Development for SAIC's Vehicle and Cargo Inspection System (VACIS) product line, and has also held senior management positions in government affairs and business development at PerkinElmer Detection Systems, Vivid Technologies and Quantum Magnetics.
Mr. Sanders holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from University of California San Diego and a Masters of Science in Physics from San Diego State University.
