Fairborn, OH and Chantilly, VA – 21 November 2013 – Peerless Technologies Corporation (Peerless) and OGSystems, LLC in pursuit of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center’s (NASIC) Advanced Technical Exploitation Program (ATEP II) acquisition, announced today the formation of the Peerless-OGSystems Joint Venture (JV).
In announcing the joint venture, both Mr. Michael Bridges, President of Peerless, and Mr. Omar Balkissoon, CEO of OGSystems, noted that this partnership is a force multiplier for their respective companies in a key strategic region and important customer base. The resulting JV brings together two premier small businesses with complementary capabilities, who share a commitment to fulfilling NASIC’s mission and vision. The new JV and its team is uniquely qualified to create innovative customer solutions within this constantly evolving, budget-constrained intelligence community. As Mr. Balkissoon stated, “the success of the Peerless OGSystems Joint Venture is based on a shared culture and mindset that we will continue to bring the most innovative and affordable GEOINT and MASINT solutions to our customers and effect change in everything we do.”
Peerless, founded in 2000 and headquartered in Fairborn, OH has achieved a successful prime contractor history at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on large multiple award contracts providing programmatic and engineering solutions on prime contracts including the $93M Air Force 711th Human Performance Wing Mission Support contract and the $950M ACCESS contract supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. Peerless manages a workforce of 266 professionals, on over fifty contracts, supporting Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and the Environmental Protection Agency, with an established and growing Intelligence practice within the Air Force. Recently, Peerless hired three well-recognized local experts to strengthen its intelligence market position: Dr Seth Orloff, Nationally renowned remote sensing research and development scientist, Mr Dave Garcia, a 7-year veteran of advanced technical intelligence production systems, and Mr Don Greiman, former NASIC Vice Commander.
OGSystems is a leader in the geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and measurement and signature intelligence (MASINT) disciplines, with approximately 75% of its internal research and development budget focused on algorithm development and architecture support within these domains. Furthermore, OGSystems is the largest small business provider of geospatial mission engineering support to the Intelligence Community. The Peerless-OGSystems JV effectively synergizes Peerless’ local market knowledge and program management expertise and OGSystems’ deep technical domain expertise in geospatial technologies. “The newly formed Joint Venture creates a prime contractor that can effectively manage the complex and extremely broad technical and management challenges NASIC faces on ATEP as we do today for other markets,” said Mr. Bridges. “There are no other locally headquartered small businesses that can offer that combination”.
